Who we are

Who we are

The SOCENT Interuniversity Attraction Pole involved, from the outset, around 45 faculty members and researchers from research centres in four Belgian universities and four international partners.

But by essence, the programme is designed to expand well beyond this initial group of researchers. Indeed, besides the researchers working in the four Belgian research centres making up the SOCENT research consortium (“SOCENT Researchers”) and the four international partners, the SOCENT programme involves an ever-growing community of associated researchers worldwide. These researchers get involved in SOCENT in a variety of ways, including through participation in the ICSEM project or on the basis of tailor-made cooperation agreements. All the researchers involved in the SOCENT project are listed in the Directory.

The SOCENT programme also works in close cooperation with the EMES International Research Network on several aspects, the most important of which are the organisation of the international research conference, "If Not for Profit, for What? And How?" (Liege, July 2013) and the ICSEM project.
