SUPSI Study Day on SE

ICSEM partners in Italian-speaking Switzerland organized an ICSEM Talk under the title "Social enterprise as a driving factor of social innovation". The event took place on May 19, 2015 in Lugano (Switzerland).

Several ICSEM Research Partners took part in the event:

  • After an introduction and welcome speech by Luca Crivelli, ICSEM Scientific Coordinator Marthe Nyssens presented a contribution on the multifaceted nature of the social enterprise concept and its various declinations in an international perspective;
  • Stefan Adam and Domenico Ferrari talked about social enterprise as an opportunity for the reintegration of disadvantaged people;
  • Mathieu de Poorter contributed a talk on starting-up and supporting social entrepreneurship, and the experience of APRES-GE in the area; and
  • Luca Crivelli was the moderator of a roundtable on the theme: "Impresa sociale in Ticino: come contribuire all'innovazione sociale nel notro cantone?".

The study day aimed to nurture the discussion on social enterprise, with the dual purpose of taking stock of the situation at national and international level and helping to create a favourable climate for the development of experiences of social entrepreneurship in Southern Switzerland.
